GOD IS OUR STRENGTH

2 Samuel 22:32-34
For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God? God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet: and setteth me upon my high places.

We have such a wonderful merciful Father and Lord. God loves us so much and He proves that love to us daily. There is no one ever that could take His place in our hearts and lives, it is clear, without Him we can do nothing. God is our rock. He is the unmovable strength in our lives. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Whenever we draw upon His strength we soar high in His grace. God’s strength enables us to mount up on wings like eagles. We are never defeated when we rely on His strength and not our own. His strength makes our way perfect because who or what can withstand His power. Remember you are more than a conqueror and all your enemies together can never defeat or overcome the power of God’s strength in your life.
When we are in our high place (seated with Christ) we see things on earth differently. Our vision is much more clearer and accurate from His throne . Our strength is drained when we strain to see things from an earthly perspective. However when we humble ourselves before God we receive His bountiful supply of strength and power. In His strength we can endure and are sure that we our victorious!

So Be Strong In The Lord and In The Power Of His Might! You are loved of God.

PRESSING THE RIGHT BUTTONS

There are many buttons on a computer keyboard that have different functions. There are buttons that take you forward and buttons that take you backwards. There are buttons that can delete and buttons whereby you can escape.

On our earth journey there are many buttons we can push to help us go forward or take us backwards. For instance when we live by faith n God, we always make tremendous progress toward our destinies end. Paul tells us in his writing that he fought a good fight, that fight was a fight of faith and he finished his course. This proves to us that faith in God will cause you to go forward. However we can opt. to press the fear button which will always take you backwards. Fear is a hindrance to our faith in God. If you choose to allow fear in your life it will ensnare you and cause you to lose courage and shrink back in terror. God did not call us to be soldiers so that we could just hide out in the fox holes of life. God wants us to be bold and courageous, on the front lines, marching in step and on time with His plans.

There are also delete and escape buttons in life. Many times when people don’t want to deal with hard situations, fiery darts from the wicked and storms of life they try to escape. They fill their lives with amusements and various entertainments to try an forget the problem. Sometimes people try to escape through drugs, alcohol. sex, food, gambling or other different vices. However the escape button never can get rid of the problem it only builds a smoke screen so that the problem is temporarily hidden from your view. When the smoke evaporates the problems is still there, sometime worse than before. The scripture says,”How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;” Hebrews 2:3.

The only true terminator of life’s troubles is the Word of God. God has provided for us everything we need to have good success in this life however it is our responsibility not to neglect our help.

Life is short, so make sure you push the right buttons, so that you will end up, at the right place, at the right time and fulfill your God given destiny!

GOD’S SET TIME

Psalms 102:13
Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.

There are things that God has already predestined to happen at certain times and nothing can stop them. All the armies of the kingdom of darkness cannot stop what God sets in motion to do.

Set defined:
• Previously established, arranged, or decided upon.

When God decides to do something who or what can annul it. Our God is God. There no one greater than He. Our God is the Almighty God; no foe can with stand His power.

The word Zion when mentioned in the Old Testament is synonymous with the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ. So when we read the above scripture we can think of the Church, God’s people. God’s mercy is upon His Church and is new every morning. God is faithful to have mercy upon His people and I’m so glad He does. The scripture also says that God has set a time for favor for His Church. You and I are living in God’s set time where we can freely enjoy the favor of God.

Jesus made this announcement when He was here in the earth, “The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity], To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound. (Luke 4:18-19 AMP)

God’s favor is here for us, we must expect that favor to be available and working on or behalf every day. So expect supernatural favor to show up every day and then thank God for it. You have been blessed and highly favored of God, so rejoice and be glad!

WHEN GOD LAUGHS

Psalms 2:4
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

You can be assured that when God laughs He is not being funny or carnal. God does nothing without purpose. God never speaks an idol word. Whenever God utters anything from His mouth; no matter if it is a word or just a sound or groan, it has a specific purpose. Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

Laughter is a form of communication through expressive sound. People laugh for different reasons and purposes. For instance, you may think that someone is laughing because they are happy but in reality they are laughing because they are nervous. I believe laughter can come from your spirit, soul or body. Every time you and I laugh it is not coming from our spirit man because the purposes for which you are laughing maybe different at any given time.

The scripture declares that God laughs not giggles. Giggling is synonyms with nervous or silly laughter. I believe that when God laughs at the enemy His laugh releases power. I believe when God laughs demons tremble. I believe when God laughs chains of bondage are broken and captives are set free. I believe when God laughs blind eyes (spiritual and physical) are opened. I believe when God laughs doors of opportunity swing open for the fulfillment of destinies. I believe when God laughs depression flees like a defeated coward. I believe when God laughs drug addicts are instantly set free and stay free.

God does nothing in vain. He is not just sitting in the heavens laughing for sport. So the next time you meditate on the truth that God laughs, go deeper and see Him destroying the works of the enemy!

MY FATHER’S BUSINESS

Luke 2:49
And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?

Business defined:
• Important matters: tasks or important things that somebody has to do or deal with.

In this verse the word business can be rendered, “in the things of my Father.” Jesus knew His time here on the earth was short and He was determined to finish the work the Father had given Him to do. The business or things of the Father were top priority to Jesus. He didn’t let anything or anybody keep Him from pursuing and doing the Fathers will. The work of God is the only reason we are still here in the earth. We must be diligent to complete with excellence and vigor our course. Every course in Christ is a part of a whole. Our part is to do our part. There are things going on in the earth today that will never be fixed unless the Kingdom of God intervenes. The Kingdom of God is within us. God wants to intervene in the affairs of man-kind but He needs you and me to cooperate with Him. God sent His only begotten Son into the world because He loved us and did not want us to perish. Now God has many sons/daughters in the earth because of His great love for us all.

We are His hands, His feet and His mouth piece, let us go into all the world to pursue and do the things of our Father, while it is still time. We must make it our business to do the business of Heaven while in the earth.

FORGETTING THE PAST

Philippians 3:13-14
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Forget defined:
• Neglecting, no longer caring for.
• Forgotten, given over to oblivion, i.e. uncared for.

When someone chooses to forget they choose to: not remember, to stop thinking about, to put out of your mind, to disregard, to put behind you, to overlook and not recall. You neglect or refuse to give any attention or care to that which you choose to forget. You don’t nurse it or feed it, you don’t cuddle it or comfort it; you totally neglect it. If you neglect something long enough it will die. Stop sympathizing and nourishing thoughts of rejection. Stop cuddling the wrong treatment you received in the past, it no longer has significance in your life. Stop remembering and rehearsing your past, let it go, starve it out. Don’t prop it up on a mantle for all to see who walk by but sit it out for the trash man to pick up on garbage day. Yes, they did hurt you, as a matter of fact they hurt you numerous times but you must get your eyes off them and redirect your focus to Jesus. Love voids out all suffered wrongs and lets God be the Judge and Jury. Love doesn’t plot on how to get even but rather meditates on ways to bless its enemies and do good to those who despitefully use them.

There is power in love to forget. Love not only empowers one to forget but also to forgive. The Love of God that has been shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit destroys also the effects of the past. It can root out, pull down and destroy everything connected to the past; as it then builds and plants that which provides a bright prosperous future.

Many times it may seem difficult or even down- right impossible to forget the past because many times we see residuals of it every day. You may sometimes see the person who hurt you on a daily basis. You may sometimes have to interact daily with the one who betrayed you and disregarded prior commitments to you. You may have to work with co-workers who have in times past persecuted you, treated you harshly. You may have to communicate with a spouse who was unfaithful and trampled under feet your marriage covenant. You may have to continually deal with a relative who has wronged you but promises it will never happen again yet they never seem to change from their evil ways. All of these things and more can cause a person to think that forgetting the past is impossible but nothing is impossible with God.

When we chose to forget the past it is not based on what someone else does or does not do. Forgetting the past is trusting God. The people, places and things of your past may never change but that doesn’t mean you have to stay trapped back there with them. When you chose to obey the word of God: forgiving and forgetting, you release your own heart from captivity and prove that you trust God. Our future is bright when we keep a steady gaze on Jesus; the author and finisher of our faith.

LINKS

There is a component on computers that is called a link. A link is a connecter. A link is something that ties, connects, or relates two or more things. For instance someone sends you an e-mail because they are trying to get some information to you. However in addition to what they just shared with you they have another source that can further make clear to you the subject, so they attach a link so that you can readily connect to this resource. These connections can be very vital to your success or failure.

When you are connected to the right things it causes your whole life to prosper. There are many things that connect to other things. Fear is linked to failure. Anxiety is linked to prayerlessness. Spiritual strength is linked to joy. Faithfulness is linked to blessings.

In order for someone to benefit from links or connectors they must open them. Someone can attach a link to your e-mail but if you never open it you cannot partake of its benefits. How many times do we only receive the obvious but yet lack spiritual discipline to go deeper and link up with weightier things.

How many links have God sent you and you never opened them, they are still sitting in your spiritual e-mail box. That link could contain the answer you’ve been waiting to go forward in your steps of obedience to fulfill the complete will of God for your life. Follow the links God have put in your life; you will prosper and have good success.

CALLING FOR DESTINATION PARTICIPATION

John 4:3-4
He left Judea and departed again into Galilee. And he must needs go through Samaria.

The word destination is from the root word destiny. Destinies are composed of a series of predetermined events that bring a person to a specific place, season or time in their life. A person’s destination is highly connected to purpose. A destination is the place to which somebody or something is going or must go.

According to John 4:3-4, Jesus journeyed to 3 particular cities: Judea, Galilee and Samaria. Neither of these places was His final destination but only a part of His journey. Each place had its specific purpose in the fulfilling of His entire course.

Jesus final destination called for active participation, not just mere day dreaming.

Many times we rejoice in proclaiming the vision and dreams God has reveal to our spirit by the Holy Spirit but then we sometimes forget to actively participate in what we’ve seen. God is not revealing specific things concerning your destiny just for you to daydream about them, He wants participation. We sometimes sit idle viewing our future as it were on a movie screen seeing in our spirit pictures of God given assignments and snap shots of the things God wants us to do and places He wants us to go.

It was necessary that Jesus go to Samaria the scriptures tell us. What if He would have just preached and shouted about the revelation of the deliverance that should come to Samaria but never took an active part in the fulfillment of what he saw in His spirit.

God is calling for active participation from us to fulfill our God given destinies, so stop day dreaming and get up from that lounge chair start taking steps toward the things He has revealed to you concerning your destiny.

HOW FAR ARE YOU WILLING TO GO?

Every now and then the question of Destiny should grace your thought life and flood every imagination of your soul. Questions such as: Do I know where my life is headed? Where am I and How did I get here? Who told me to pursue the life and dreams I now seek to fulfill every day? What and whose plans am I following for my life? Why am I not satisfied with the progress my life has made? Am I making progress toward the fulfillment of my God given destiny or am I no further than when I first begun? What hindrances to my Divine Destiny do I tolerate, looking the other way in hopes that they will just someday go away? What weights and sins do I allow that beset me from day to day? What is my response to the voice of procrastination, laziness, worldliness, fear, insecurities, distractions, carnality, boredom, loneliness, pride etc? Am I truly growing in my walk with God or am I pretending just to impress others? Is there a marked difference in my spiritual growth and development or have I just become merely religious? How serious am I in knowing what the will of the Lord is for my life? Who is truly leading my life; the flesh, the world, the devil, the Holy Spirit or me? What fuels my daily passions is it the Word of God or is it just an unfulfilled fantasy?

Before you flippantly rattle off answers from your head to any of the above questions take a minute and ask the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of Truth, to help you. Many people can give what appears to be the right spiritually mature sounding answer to all the questions yet their own life bears little fruit to what they just said. Life here on earth is short; it’s time to get sober. Do you really know where you are on your Divine Course? Do you know where you are going?

STOP, LOOK, LISTEN!

Its okay to turn around and head back to the last place you definitely heard God direct you if you have gotten off course. Repent and turn, now! God loves you and He wants you to finish the course He has set before you. You need never be ashamed, God is joyfully waiting on you to lead and guide you in the way that you should go. Don’t be distracted by what everybody else is or isn’t doing for God. Don’t worry about John, you follow Jesus!

On the other hand maybe you are one of the many Christians who are right on target and making tremendous progress on your course. Well, keep on keepin on with God, my sister, my brother. There is more ahead, stay steady, never dread, just keep your spirit nourished and fed. Be bold to conquer new territory as you are lead by the Holy Spirit. Continue to grow and mature as you run your race; don’t forget to encourage and help others when you meet them from day to day. Stay excited about the course God has given you and never grumble or complain. Keep yourself pure from idleness and carnality; don’t let them defile you along the way. Stay hot with a burning passion for the Master and His work.

The Destiny God has for you is so vital. But how far are you willing to go? Are you willing to finish your course with joy? Are you willing to go all the way? Can you press with your whole heart until you cross your finish line? Can you give it all you got and in His grace keep up the pace while keeping a steady gaze on His face? Never looking back but always on track; never losing ground while remaining spiritually sound. Remember God is counting on you to be a living testimony of His love. You are the only you that the world will ever see wrapped up in His grace and mercy! Fight the good fight of faith and finish your God given race, in the end you will see Him in honor face to face!

Hebrews 12:1-3

THEREFORE THEN, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us,

Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Just think of Him Who endured from sinners such grievous opposition and bitter hostility against Himself [reckon up and consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you may not grow weary or exhausted, losing heart and relaxing and fainting in your minds.
