Love Paid the Cost to be the Boss

1 John 4:9-10

In this the love of God was made manifest (displayed) where we are concerned: in that God sent His Son, the only begotten or [a]unique [Son], into the world so that we might live through Him.

In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins.

Love went to the cross

Love paid the cost, for our freedom today

Love wrapped himself in flesh

Nothing mediocre about His sacrifice,

He gave His all, He gave His best.

Now you and I can rest

Reaping the reward of His great success

He was wounded for our wrongdoing, chastised so that we can now have peace

Giving us absolute release from the bondage of sins snare

Who would ever think, oh, no one would ever dare

Give their life for their enemy

When the call for sacrifice was given, Love rose to the occasion

Love took the fall despite the call to die upon that cross.

Love did not retreat nor surrender to eternal defeat

But rather, gave up the Ghost and in hell He did boast of His power, glory and majesty.

Raised from the dead just like the scriptures said,

To reign with the Father above.

Gracious and full of compassion, today and forever He will be

To ever hear the faintest cry of those seeking to be free.

Free from the curse, no more guilt and shame

Eternal life to all who call on His Name.

The Fruit is in the Seed

Genesis 1:11
And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so

God created fruit trees to yield fruit after its kind. The fruit tree’s seed is within itself. A seed is a very significant part of a plant. Seeds have everything they will ever become within them. Roots are produced and come forth out of the seed and anchor the entire plant or tree.

Root defined:
The part of a plant that has no leaves or buds and usually spreads underground, anchoring the plant and absorbing water and nutrients from the soil.

Jesus said, “For there is no good (healthy) tree that bears decayed (worthless, stale) fruit, nor on the other hand does a decayed (worthless, sickly) tree bear good fruit. For each tree is known and identified by its own fruit; for figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor is a cluster of grapes picked from a bramblebush. The upright (honorable, intrinsically good) man out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart produces what is upright (honorable and intrinsically good), and the evil man out of the evil storehouse brings forth that which is depraved (wicked and intrinsically evil); for out of the abundance (overflow) of the heart his mouth speaks. (Luke 6:43-45 AMP).

Words are seeds and are impregnated with life or death. Once spoken, they quickly look for soil to begin germination and root permeation. The seed must be watered and nurtured in order for the shell of the seed to be broken to let the inner life of the seed come out. The seed will only produce what is in it, no surprises, oops or mistakes–it is what it is.

If we have undesirable fruit in our lives it is because, somewhere along the way, a seed was sown that contained the results you now see. The roots of a seed is what sustains the whole plant. If the roots are destroyed, the plant will die. God told Jeremiah that He put His words in his mouth to root out, pull down, destroy and throw down, but also to build and plant. God’s word is the only thing qualified to uproot seeds of death and destruction, yet at the same time build and plant the good will of God.
So begin to be selective about the words or seeds you allow to be planted in your heart and mind because they will produce a harvest; good or bad.

Deleted!

On most keyboards and computer options, there is a delete button which gives a person the choice to erase what they see.

Deleted defined:
• To score out or erase something that is printed or written.

This mean we can totally obliterate something from our files or disk just by the mere push of a button. When you delete something, there is no trace or memory of it. As a matter of fact, if that was the only copy of it, it would be hard to prove it even existed.

Hebrews 10:16-18 NLT
This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the Lord:
I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds. Then he says, I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds. And when sins have been forgiven, there is no need to offer any more sacrifices.

God has deleted things from your past and mine. He has totally erased them from our history. The words “never again remember” have the same meaning as “delete”. God has erased the bad and downloaded the good. Oh, I’m so glad for that heavenly delete button, aren’t you? All the plans and strategies the devil plotted against me to destroy me were all deleted in an instant. The enemy thought he could destroy me because of my past sins, but glory to God they were all deleted in the blood of Jesus. There is no trace or memory of them, as a matter of fact, it’s as though they never existed. Hallelujah! Deleted by the blood! Deleted by the Blood!

The wonderful thing about this delete button is that it works on all the enemies weapons and destructive strategies. When he attempts to flood your mind with ungodly thoughts and imagination, just go ahead a press that delete button. When he tries to put sickness and disease on your body just go ahead and push that button. When the enemy tries to thwart the plan and purposes of God in your life just go ahead a press the button. Our button represents the name of Jesus, the Word of God, and the power of the Holy Spirit. These all agree for your victory. So don’t hesitate to press your delete button and live free from the weights and sins sent by your enemy.

One, two, three…STRETCH!

Rather, let our lives lovingly express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

Sometimes growing up can be uncomfortable. All the stretching and pulling can cause some things to become dislodged. Things that used to be small and easy to manage now are larger and causes one to be clumsy and disorganized.

However, growth and development are essential and vital parts of every fruitful life. The scripture says, “…let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head,” meaning get ready for your expansion project.

Growth and progress can occur at different times and various rates for different people. We may not all experience growth together, but we should all be growing nonetheless. Sometimes people perceive growing pains to be a negative experience and they regress and stop making progress. Although the stretching, pulling, prying and aggressive tugging can be uncomfortable, it should be most welcomed and appreciated. Every part of our being should be growing and expanding become more and more like Him, in every way, everyday.

Enjoy the stretch!

Power in Praise!

Psalms 103: 1-2
Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

The psalmist was exercising spirit control over soul control. He refused to allow his soul and body to dictate his covenant praise for God. Yes, covenant praise. We were created to praise and worship God. The scriptures tell us “let everything that hath breath praise the Lord”!

The psalmist said “everything within me”. That means we should never halfheartedly praise God. We should not allow our soul to go on spiritual vacation when we praise and worship. We need to take control and command our soul and body to be in unity with our spirit to praise God with everything that is within us. God’s presence demands respect and praise. To resist the unction to function in a spirit of praise in His presence is nothing short of pride and rebellion. God deserves radical praise. He is worthy of humble adoration. God inhabits the praises of His people. Wherever God is there is power. The power of God is not only released in us but through us to others as well. God’s power plus your praise is an unbeatable pair. Go ahead, release God’s power in your neighborhood, in your family, in your marriage, and on your job through your unified: spirit, soul and body praise.

Prohibted by the Law!

James 2:12 (AMP

So speak and so act as [people should] who are to be judged under the law of liberty [the moral instruction given by Christ, especially about love].

There are specific things in the Word of God that are clearly forbidden by God. Worry is one of those things. God has made it clear that we are not to worry about anything or anybody. Worry is a sin. It is illegal to worry in the Kingdom of God.

Forbidden defined:

• Not allowed by order of somebody or by law.

When we practice worrying we are actually operating in another kingdom, and inferior kingdom. Worry is a weapon that has its roots in the kingdom of darkness. Worry is a thief; it comes only to steal, kill and destroy. It is a sister to unbelief and a brother to fear. Worry is an enemy of love. It seeks to choke out loves power and drown its influence and progress. Worry is a deceptive, crafty, seducer, void of mercy. It will eat away at your Godly excellence and bring to halt fruitful divine dreams, causing frustration and disappointment. Worry is a clear indicator someone is living a carnal Christian life. The scriptures warn us that to be carnal minded produces death not the abundant life. Worry always piggybacks selfishness and pride.

In today’s society anxiety is very acceptable, often being pitied and nursed. However, make no mistake about it; anxiety is not a friend but rather a foe.

Jesus gave His life so that we could live the good life and experience God’s abundant mercy and favor. It is not the will of God that we be chained to a life of worry. You were not born to be a worrier but rather to live a life of peace. Worry will seek to dominate your life and infiltrate into your relationships and daily activities. However, you can stop it, by developing trust in God.

Matthew 6:25-27 (AMP)

Therefore I tell you, stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent] than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life?

God forbids worry because He loves you. He has already made available to you freedom through His perfect law of liberty (The Bible).

Meditate on the above scripture and close the door to the thief of worry, today!

Well Timed Help!

Hebrews 4:14-16 (AMP)
Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him]. For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning. Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].

Aren’t you glad that God loves and cares for you. Even in the mist of great trials and temptation the Lord understands and sympathizes weaknesses and infirmities. He is such a great High Priest. God is always willing to comfort, forgive and heal the broken-hearted. He is always ready and willing to help. He will never leave you or forsake you. We must always go to God, He will help, He will give mercy and grace, no matter what you face. He is always on time. Though others may not care or offer help or support, God will always be there for you. He will not condemn you or cast you aside. God is love. Love is forever actively pursuing you. You are not alone, He is there. He is more than enough!

Be it Unto Me!

Luke 1:37-38

For with God nothing shall be impossible.

And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

“Be it unto me according to thy word” are not the words that come from a luke warm heart. The heart that utters with all sincerity and fervor, “God I want what you want, no matter what you say that’s what I want Lord”… this is a surrendered heart. In this heart flows genuine love and adoration. This is not a selfish heart. A selfish heart prevents divine purpose. A selfish hearts says what’s in it for me. A selfish heart hesitates and procrastinates, the call to true purpose.

A heart that trusts God is prompt to yield to His word no matter how inconvenient it may appear. A heart that trusts God is sensitive to the desires and ways of God, always seeking out ways to please Him. A heart that seeks to please God is neither a crowd pleaser nor a flesh teaser.

“Be it unto me according to your word” are not words of the weary and faint of heart but words of covenant keepers, promise finders and destiny seekers. They are words of faith!

What Not to Wear!

Romans 13:14

  • But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

There are certain things Christians should not wear. We must dress for success. I am speaking of our spiritual garments not a dress you buy at Macy’s.

We must dress everyday for victory. The scripture says, “Put on the Lord Jesus”. Everything Jesus represents and is should be in and on us.

We must on purpose strip off wrong, harmful attitudes and behaviors. We must refuse to wear the garment of division and strife. We must never enter the store of worldly lust with the intent to buy or sell. We must never borrow clothes of offense.

In the fashion world, some colors or patterns don’t match. We cannot wear some garments of the flesh and some of the spirit, they clash.

Before you leave the house, look in the spiritual mirror, the Bible. The Bible is our perfect standard and guide book for, WHAT NOT TO WEAR.

Put on love, gentleness, self-control, peace, and joy. Slip on the sweater on faithfulness. Put on your hat of truth. Look at you, you’re looking good now. Walk with confidence, you got the look.

If you are fashion illiterate, seek help today. There is no limit to your account, go ahead splurge, God’s got the tab.

Have a bite to eat, the meal is on me!

The Bible tells us that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. How many times have you eaten today in the natural to supply your physical body with nourishment and strength? How many times today have you feed your spiritual man with bread from heaven to supply strength and nourishment?

Well, come on and sit down at the table with me for a few minutes and have a bite to eat. Come on dig in! Don’t forget to pray before you eat and wipe your mouth when you are done. Enjoy!

PAUL, AN apostle (special messenger) of Christ Jesus (the Messiah), by the divine will (the purpose and the choice of God) to the saints (the consecrated, set-apart ones) [a]at Ephesus who are also faithful and loyal and steadfast in Christ Jesus: May grace (God’s unmerited favor) and spiritual peace [which means peace with God and harmony, unity, and undisturbedness] be yours from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. May blessing (praise, laudation, and eulogy) be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) Who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual (given by the Holy Spirit) blessing in the heavenly realm! Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love. For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [[b]because it pleased Him and was His kind intent]– [So that we might be] to the praise and the commendation of His glorious grace (favor and mercy), which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.

In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor, Which He lavished upon us in every kind of wisdom and understanding (practical insight and prudence), Making known to us the mystery (secret) of His will (of His plan, of His purpose). [And it is this:] In accordance with His good pleasure (His merciful intention) which He had previously purposed and set forth in [c]Him, [He planned] for the maturity of the times and the climax of the ages to unify all things and head them up and consummate them in Christ, [both] things in heaven and things on the earth. In Him we also were made [God’s] heritage (portion) and we obtained an inheritance; for we had been foreordained (chosen and appointed beforehand) in accordance with His purpose, Who works out everything in agreement with the counsel and design of His [own] will, So that we who first hoped in Christ [who first put our confidence in Him have been destined and appointed to] live for the praise of His glory! In Him you also who have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings (Gospel) of your salvation, and have believed in and adhered to and relied on Him, were stamped with the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit. That [Spirit] is the guarantee of our inheritance [the firstfruits, the pledge and foretaste, the down payment on our heritage], in anticipation of its full redemption and our acquiring [complete] possession of it–to the praise of His glory.

Ephesians 1:1-14 (AMP).

Ah! Now wasn’t that satisfying!
