Daniel 2:20-23

Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king’s matter

There is nothing hidden from God. There are no secrets in any affairs of life that He is not already aware of, as a matter of fact God knows about them before they ever become a thought in a man’s mind.

Daniel declared God to be a revealer of secrets. He trusted in God to make known to him things he did not know with his natural mind. God revealed to Daniel something that another person had dreamed.

Secret defined:

• Something that is unknown, hidden, or not understood.

Daniel said God reveals the deep and secret things. There are things that in the natural we don’t have knowledge of or even if we have knowledge of it we may not understand it. However God knows all and when we choose to follow Him and seek Him as the only source of true wisdom then we too can know things that were previously hidden to our understanding. The scriptures let us know that God will not withhold any good thing from us (those who are born-again).

For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. (Psalms 84:11)

No matter what situations you are facing you have the advantage in Christ. You are an over-comer and God dwells in you. If you will take the time to listen, He will reveal things to you that you don’t know with the natural mind. God will even show you things to come. God will even reveal to you things that your enemies are plotting against you. They maybe saying things about you in their bedchambers but God will show it to you. The bible lets us know that Jesus knew the thoughts of those that were sitting around Him. He knew the plots they were devising even before they spoke them out. It is never the will of God for your enemies to triumph over you. However we must do our part and stay connected to the True Vine, who is the source of all true victory and blessings. When we are connected to the true vine everything that is in the vine can flow directly to us. If you need wisdom it’s in the Vine. If you need direction it’s in the Vine. If you need joy, peace, healing, protection, it’s all in the Vine. If you need help on your job, it’s in the Vine. If you need something revealed to you, it’s in the Vine. Everything we need is in Him and He is not stingy, God is a giving God. The things that God revealed to Daniel caused him to obtain great favor and promotion. This supernatural wisdom and revelation that was imparted to Daniel caused others to recognize God. God can reveal things to you that will help point the way for other people to see Christ. The king of Babylon knew that it was not just through mere human intellect that Daniel knew what he knew, he knew this was a God thing. God can reveal the secrets of men’s hearts through you and cause them to bow their knee to Him, the True and Living God. You are never in the dark when you walk with God. 

Trust God in every area of your life He will never let you down, He loves you and will always come through for you. Trust Him to be your Revealer of Secrets, today and everyday.

Habakkuk 2:1-3

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

There is something admirable about effort. I applaud every noble cause but a cause without effort equals failure. The prophet Habakkuk declared that he would stand on his watch. Many times people are not willing to put any effort to seeing the plan that God has for their life fulfilled. Now, don’t misunderstand me, I do believe in sweat- less victories; meaning not trying to obtain things in your own strength. However the scriptures tell us that we can do all things through Christ that strengthens us. Well, what does God strengthen us for? He strengthens us for us to do all things. Yes, it is God’s strength but we must participate and do our part. If you want a job then you need to get up and go apply for one, they don’t just drop out of the sky because God just strengthen you.

Habakkuk chose to seek God to see what the Lord would say to him and God in returned answered him. God has things to say to you, He wants you to hit the target of your destiny.

Target defined:

• A goal or objective toward which effort is directed.

When God begins to reveal His plans and purposes to us we then have something to target. That Divine plan becomes our bulls-eye. It’s important to write down what God says to us and then keep it before our eyes like a target. God will always fulfill His Word but we must believe. Believing is part of our effort. It is easier to hit a fixed target as opposed to a moving target. When I say a moving target I mean something that keeps changing. God is not changing targets on you every other day. He means what He says and says what He means. The vision God has given you may not fully come to pass today or tomorrow but you can be assured that it will come to pass, just like He said. So write the vision and make it plain, run with it and don’t stop until you have seen His good will come to pass at last.

In the natural world it is very easy for a power outage to occur, a little wind, thunder and lightening and BAM your lights blink. Man’s natural equipment doesn’t seem to compare or match up with natures fury. However there is a power that is greater and far more superior than anything other power. THE POWER OF ALMIGHTY GOD!

In the life of a believer, storms both spiritual and natural present a wonderful opportunity to display the awesome power of God. We should never have power outages. We must stay full of the power of God.

Jesus dominated spiritual and physical storms.

Mark 4:38-40, “And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?”

WOW! No power outage, there just was a full manifestation of dunamis!

God wants us to look just like Him in every situation of life, even during a storm. God has fully supplied every believer with power to be a witness. We are witnesses of Christ when we dominate storms. We are witnesses of Christ when we cast out devils and lay hands on the sick and see them recover.

Power outages happen in the lives of those who are luke warm. Power outages happen for those who do not believe. Power outages happen when we neglect reading the word of God and fellow-shipping with Him. Power outages happen when we stay more in tune with the world than praying and being sensitive to God’s Spirit. Power outages happen when we live in the flesh and not in the spirit.

God did not leave us here in the earth without power.

Luke 10:18-20 (AMP)

And He said to them, I saw Satan falling like a lightning [flash] from heaven. Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are enrolled in heaven.

Rise up child of God and use this awesome power, there is a great demand in this hour. Don’t let the lightening strike your tower. Stay awake and alert on your watch, don’t let the lights go out on your block.

It is such a tragedy to see some people let their God given gifts and talents waste away through mere neglect.

Proverbs 29:18 (AMP)

Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]–blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he.

Following after man-made plans is just like having no vision at all because if it is not from God it will not amount to anything. God did not create man to follow after their own lusts and desires. God created us with a purpose already prepared.

The scriptures declare: For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. (Ephesians 2:10 AMP).

God has a good life prepared for each and every one of us. He has not prepared a life of pain and misery for us, He loves us. The devil is the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy not God. The devil is the one who robs a person of their destiny and true purpose in life. Satan is stealth with his lies and deceit to enslave and bring into bondage anyone who will not resist his bait or deceitful speech. His thoughts and imagines flood the mind of innocent people, he poises as a friend but really is a foe. He assaults the mind and brain through spiritual seduction and sometimes violent acts of spiritual rape, impregnating the soul with tainted seeds of destruction. He is a sinister being, he is filled with evil and corruption.

However, Jesus is our Savior, He came so that we could receive true life and have the good life more abundantly. He came to redeem us from a life of bondage and corruption. He gave His life so that you and I could have eternal life, never again to be under the dominion of sin and death. He came so that we could live the good life. However, we must be willing to put God first, He should always be our first love.

God has prepared paths for us; however, we are the ones who must seek them out. So many times people are treading through life doing their own thing not regarding God’s plans and purposes for their lives. They meet up with frustration after frustration, as if swimming through thick muddy waters. They blame God on the delays, disappointments and lack of progress in their lives yet they never seek Him on any consistent basis to find out the true purpose and plan for their lives. They struggle, fret and then regret the dawning of every new day.

A pitiful sight to behold one would tend to think but what is it that actually keeps them from the will of God? Is it deception? Is it laziness or self-centeredness? Is it rebellion or hidden pride? Is it a lack of direction or mere cloudy perception? Is it spiritual malnutrition or just a simple lack of spiritual attention? Are they feeble minded or do they just not care? Is it condemnation or past failures? Is it depression or oppression or an old familiar family curse?

Maybe it’s not for me to know the cause but rather continue to remind them of the answer: JESUS LOVES YOU AND HE HAS SOMETHING FOR YOU TO DO. YOUR LIFE IS IMPORTANT AND VALUABLE TO GOD AND THE BODY OF CHRIST. WE NEED YOU TO TAKE YOUR PLACE AND FINISH YOUR RACE; WE WILL BE THERE RIGHT BESIDE YOU. WE ARE A FAMILY, THE FAMILY OF GOD; WE ARE ONE IN THE LORD. WE WILL NOT LEAVE YOU SHIPWRECKED ON THE SHORES OF LIFE. TAKE OUR HAND WE WILL HELP YOU STAND TALL AGAIN. WE WILL NOT JUDGE YOU OR TURN OUR BACK ON YOU, WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU AND RESTORE YOU. SO BE STRONG MY BROTHER, MY SISTER THIS LOVE WILL NEVER LEAVE OR FORSAKE YOU. YOU’RE GOING TO MAKE IT, GOD IS NOT THROUGH WITH YOU. YOUR BEST DAYS ARE STILL AHEAD OF YOU!

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Now also we would not have you ignorant, brethren, about those who fall asleep in death, that you may not grieve [for them] as the rest do who have no hope [beyond the grave].

For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him through Jesus those who have fallen asleep in death]. 

For this we declare to you by the Lord’s [own] word, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall in no way precede [into His presence] or have any advantage at all over those who have previously fallen asleep [in Him in death]. 

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud cry or summons, with the shout of an archangel, and with the blast of the trumpet of God. And those who have departed this life in Christ will rise first.

Then we, the living ones who remain [on the earth], shall simultaneously be caught up along with [the resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always (through the eternity of the eternities) we shall be with the Lord! 

Therefore comfort and encourage one another with these words.

Have you heard? Are you even aware, that Jesus could come today? He is coming again to usher in the end. The Lord is faithful to His word like He promised. He’s no Peter or doubting Thomas. He will come in an unknown hour full of Glory and power. He will rapture up His church. Will you be prepared to meet Him in the air and reign with Him forever. Well if you are, know that He’s not far from coming for His bride. Be encourage, stay hot, He’s coming, He coming, He’s coming!

Before you go, ask someone if they know Jesus.

Before you go, light up this dark world with Holy Ghost power.

Before you go, show the devil who his boss is.

Before you go, be the best you that God created you to be.

Before you go, let this world know that God is God.

Before you go, give bread to the hungry and water to the thirsty.

Before you go, give a big hug and extra love to your enemies.

Before you go, praise the Lord with everything that is in you.

Before you go, go a little further and press a little harder to reach the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ for your life.

Before you go, take the bow and shoot the arrow of destiny right in the bulls-eye.

Before you go, be a bold witness for Christ.

Before you go, let someone in the world experience the healing virtue of God flow through your hands.

Before you go, let the world know the love of God never fails.

Before you go, finish the race that God entrusted to you.

Before you go, tell someone you know that Jesus Christ died for their sins and rose again the third day so that they could have life and life more abundantly.

Before you go, tell someone that Jesus loves them unconditionally.

Before you go, go after that God given dream, pursue and fulfill that God given vision.

Before you go, encourage those you pass on life’s highway.

Before you go, let someone know they can make with the Lord.

Before you go, let your faith go into the uttermost parts of the world and subdue the kingdoms of darkness.

Before you go, let the whole world know there is no one like our God.

2 Timothy 4:6-8

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Authentic means genuine and original, as opposed to being a fake or reproduction.

To be authentic is to be real, valid, bona fide, true, reliable, and dependable as opposed to fake or counterfeit. Jesus said:

John 15:1-3

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you

Jesus let us know through His teachings and demonstrated by outward display of works that He was the real not a phony or a want to be. When you are authentic your life will bear fruit of the trueness of your words.

John 14:11 (amp)

Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me; or else believe Me for the sake of the [very] works themselves. [If you cannot trust Me, at least let these works that I do in My Father’s name convince you.]

Jesus was indeed who He said He was regardless if anybody believed Him or not. The proof of who He was was not based on the opinions of others but rather the life He lived. His life consistently mirrored the scriptures that prophesied of Him and the union He had with the Father. If God is in you then everything you do and say should be proof that He lives there. The book of Revelations declares that there would be those who had a name that they lived but yet were dead. (Revelations 3:1)

To be phony is to give a false impression, to make something appear to be genuine when it is not. It also can be putting on a false show of something such as sincerity or expertise.

A phony can only be detected when you know the real and genuine. Refusing to become familiar with the true can make you vulnerable to the fake. Take time to cultivate in your life the knowledge and ways of the True Vine and you will never be deceived by the counterfeit vine.
