DRAW NEAR TO HIM

Matthew 11:28-30 (AMP)

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]

Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.

For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good–not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.

The Lord wants daily fellowship and communion with us. However, God will not intrude or crash down the door of our hearts to make us fellowship with Him. He will not compete with the clamor of this world for your attention. God is with us and dwells in every believer in Christ. We must draw near to Him and seek Him. We must desire communion with Him.

The world is speaking and calling for our attention every day. It seeks to distract and allure you away from your God given purpose. The flesh, the world and the devil screams for your attention 24/7. There are things designed to capture you attention and your interest, in an attempt to pull your heart and devotion toward it and away from God. Don’t surrender to its sway.

God has a purpose for your life but it will only be fulfilled as we closely follow Him. God does not seek to draw your attention through the lust of the eye. He will quietly appeal to your spirit. The scripture reveals to us that the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord. God will lead and guide us through our born-again spirits. But this happens only as we yield to Him, He will not force us to come to Him.

Purpose in your heart to diligently seek the Lord every day. Turn your attention several times throughout the day to Him and cultivate your devotion and fellowship with Him.

SOMEONE IS WATCHING YOU

1 Timothy 4:12 (AMP)

Let no one despise or think less of you because of your youth, but be an example (pattern) for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.

Example defined:

• A person, action, or thing taken as a model to be copied or avoided by others.

• Something that is representative by virtue of having typical features of the thing it represents.

Christians are to be representatives of heaven. We are Ambassadors for the Kingdom of God. Our life should be patterned according to the standards revealed to us in God’s Word. We should seek to live a life that someone else would want to emulate.

Paul instructed Timothy in the scripture above to be an example in five areas;

• Speech

• Conduct

• Love

• Faith

• Purity

All of these things can be visibly seen or heard by other believers and unbelievers. People are watching the way you live and they should. We are the Light of the World. Jesus invested too much for our light to be hid under a bushel.

The example you live before others can affect people’s lives for generations. Let us briefly examine our lives in the five areas mentioned above.

Speech – What am I saying from my mouth in front of others that I would want them to repeat?

Conduct– What behaviors, attitudes or habits do I consistently display before others and am I willing to mentor others in these same behaviors, attitudes and habits?

Love– Is my life an example of the love of God for others to see and hear?

Faith– The scripture mentions on a number of occasions that Jesus saw people’s faith. Can your faith be seen and followed by others as an example of true faith in God.

Purity– Is your life an example of Godly purity?

Someone is watching you. What do they see? Whose mirror will you be? Endeavor to live a life that you would want to see imitated in the people most precious to you.

WHERE ARE MY KEYS?

Matthew 16:19

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Where are my keys? Have you ever ask that question to someone or even to yourself?

Keys are a very important part of most peoples everyday life. Keys are something that we use on a daily basis.

Keys defined:

  • a way or means of achieving something
  • a device that operates a door or lock

Keys help us access vital ingredients for life long success. There are doors in many peoples lives that await opening. Doors that lead to Divine destinies.

A door is locked to either keep someone or something out or to keep them in. However, when you are the one who possesses the key to the door, the door is not seen as an obstacle. The one who possesses the key has authority. Doors are only obstacles to people who don’t possess the key.

Frustration comes when we misplace our keys. We know we had them but let them slip out of our sight. We search and search for them because we realize we can not go anywhere without them. Many times when people loses their keys they appear frantic and anxious. They hurry around back tracking everywhere they may have been and disrupting everything else from it’s place in an attempt to find them. They quickly recruit other people to stop what they are doing an insist that they help them find the lost keys.

Keys are very significant depending on what they lock or unlock. We must value the Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven enough to make sure we know where they are at all times and that we use them to help us have total life success.

POWERLESS GHOST

Isaiah 26:13-14

O Lord, our God, other masters besides You have ruled over us, but we will acknowledge and mention Your name only.

They [the former tyrant masters] are dead, they shall not live and reappear; they are powerless ghosts, they shall not rise and come back. Therefore You have visited and made an end of them and caused every memory of them [every trace of their supremacy] to perish.

The things of your past are powerless against your future unless you choose to give life to them in your today.

Ghost can be defined as an entity that seems to exist but does not. It can be something that has died but only lives in memory. Whatever ruled over you yesterday has no power over you today. Christ has set you free! Receive that freedom by confessing your trust in His unfailing love for you and in you. The images of your past are no match against the power of God’s Word that is at work in you today. Going backward is not an option for you anymore, so take the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God and let it begin demolition on every thought and imagination that does not agree with God’s plan for your life.

So go ahead live life to its fullest, enjoy the blessing of freedom and celebrate Gods victory in you today!

2 Corinthians 10:4-6

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds 😉 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

GOD DESERVES 100%

Colossians 3:1 (AMP)

And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him.

God deserves 100% of our loyalty. He is worthy of our best service and worship.

Sometimes when you sweep a floor there is a small amount of dust or dirt that sometimes refuses to sweep into the dust pan. Have you ever swept that small amount of dirt under a rug because it was so small you thought, “Oh nobody will see it anyway.” What you felt to be insignificant was an indication of your work ethic and integrity.

Sometimes people tend to not do their best work when they think no one is looking.

 Pretense defined:

• something done or a way of behaving that is not genuine, but is intended to deceive somebody

Words that are similar to pretense: charade, sham, façade, make-believe, deceit, deception and simulation.

Whatever we do in word or in deed even when we think they are trivial we are to do them in the name of the Lord and for Him. We should always live everyday with the understanding, God is with me. Wherever I go and whatever I do, He is present. We should seek the honor that comes from God and not the honor of man.

Refuse to do anything in pretense. God loves you no matter what others think about you. Live to please Him.

PACE YOURSELF

1Corinthian 9:24-25

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

In the Olympics, there are various types of races. They range from short sprints to marathon style long distances. In every race the runner must determine the pace that will help him/her win that race. Many factors may influence the pace of any particular race. For instance, the speed of the other runners you are running with can greatly influence your pace, that’s if you want to win.

The environmental temperatures and wind direction can also influence your pace. But whatever conditions you find yourself running your race in, be determined to win. Many people settle to just finish, they have given up on mastering their course. They resolve to just make it across the finish line. Everyone who crosses the finish line in an Olympic race does not receive a prize.

God desires for us to master our course in life and not to allow our course to master us. We should not expect to cross our heavenly finish line all beat up, barely making it, just making it in by a thread. We should see ourselves running full force until the end, strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We must see ourselves crossing that finish line full of joy and victory.

There maybe times that you have to pace yourself for a sprint and at other times a marathon but whatever the pace be determined to win your race!

STAY SALTY

Matthew 5:13 (AMP)

You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste (its strength, its quality), how can its saltness be restored? It is not good for anything any longer but to be thrown out and trodden underfoot by men.

Salt is good when it is strong and fresh. Its purpose is to season and preserve. When salt loses the foundation of its purpose it is good for nothing. Jesus said we are the salt of the earth, not the salt of heaven. The earth needs our salty not heaven. We are to influence the world and persuade people with the Good News. When your life crosses the path of other lives they should be able to taste the flavor of God on you. The words you speak and the way you behave should be so salty and seasoned with grace that the other person instantly becomes hunger and thirty for God.

There is nothing more gross than to taste something that should have a great flavor but when you take a bite it taste so bland and its texture is so rough you promptly spit it out.

So stay salty and bring a refreshing flavor to those you come in contact with everyday.

HIS GRACE IS ENOUGH

2 Corinthians 12:8-9 (amp)

 Three times I called upon the Lord and besought [Him] about this and begged that it might depart from me;

But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!

God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Ghost loves you so very much. I want you to just sit back and let those words saturate your heart and mind today. You are loved and not forgotten, God has a wonderful plan for your life. But in order to go forward in His plan you must trust God with all your heart, lean not to your own understanding, in everything acknowledge Him and let Him direct your life. There may be times in your life when things look hopeless but don’t give up keep believing and trusting in God, He will see you through. Maybe it looks like the dreams and vision God has shown you in times past will never materialize. The only person believing in your God given vision and destiny at this time in your journey may just be you but just keep trusting in God, He will bring it to past. Sometimes the pressures from the kingdom of darkness may seem unbearable but keep on keepin on. Set your face like a flint and refuse to give up, turn back or quit. Quitting is not an option; you must run your race to the end. Whatever pressures you may be facing right now, just know God’s grace is sufficient to those who refuse to give up and quit. No need to struggle with life’s problems, just rest and cast off the stress on God. He gave His best so that you and I could live in the glory.

HIGH PRIORITY

1Thessalonians 5:17

Pray without ceasing

Prayer is the conduit that helps divine resources and supplies pass from heaven to earth. God provided every believer with the ability to pray. The Holy Spirit will also assist us with Kingdom communication. We must know how to properly dialogue in God’s Kingdom. When you properly communicate with someone there is an exchange that takes place. Failure to communicate with our Heavenly Father could be deadly.

However, we have been granted access to the very throne of God. God said COME BOLDLY. (Hebrews 4:16)

Matthew 4:4

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Talking with God throughout your day is vital and must never be taken for granted or seen as trivial. Remember your union and fellowship with Him should be the highest priority of the day, even if you have to put others on the line, on hold.

Your life is worth the investment. Pray without ceasing!

LIVING LARGE

Judges 18:9-10

And they said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and, behold, it is very good: and are ye still? be not slothful to go, and to enter to possess the land.

When ye go, ye shall come unto a people secure, and to a large land: for God hath given it into your hands; a place where there is no want of any thing that is in the earth.

God wants His children to live large! But we must be willing to rise up and go get what He has already given to us. The things God has provided for us are worth the effort. The scripture says to not be slothful. Well that word slothful means don’t be lazy. Laziness is a deadly hindrance to our destiny. It will pickpocket your divine vision and steal your dreams.

Laziness defined

• Unwilling to do any work or make an effort

• Moving slow

We must arm ourselves against this enemy of our faith and destiny. You must never allow your will to oppose God’s will for your life. Don’t argue and resist God’s plans and purposes for your life by being lazy or complaining about focusing on your inabilities. Make an effort to get up and go where He wants you to go. Get excited about things He has called you to do and then do them with the right attitude. Enter into your land of promise with the intent to take over. This is not a time to window shop, it’s time to possess. God is extravagant; don’t limit your land to a small square foot. It’s a large land. Let God stretch your imagination and boost your expectation through meditation and supernatural insight. Be ready to see with your heart the things God reveals to you. Believe and Receive! God has a place for you where there is no want or lack of anything that is in the earth. He is our Shepherd we shall not want!

So rise up and live large today!
