Love Is….

Love is speaking, are you listening? Love is listening, are you speaking? Love is watching, what are you doing? Loving is doing, what are you watching? Love is in, but are you out?

IF I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God’s love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers  the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (God’s love in me) I am nothing (a useless nobody). Even if I dole out all that I have [to the poor in providing] food, and if I surrender my body to be burned or in order that I may glory, but have not love (God’s love in me), I gain nothing. Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end].

Take Charge!

Mark 5:39-42

And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

Never take personal an opportunity where God can use you to be powerful in Him.

This account of the miracle in Mark 5 where Jesus raised Jairus’ daughter from the dead is a perfect example of how we will be presented with opportunities to be powerful in God, if we don’t choose to take the assault of the enemy personally. Jesus came to do good, but there were people there that laughed Him to scorn. He could have yielded to the temptation to be selfish and focus on the intended offense, but He took the high road and yielded to the plan of God and a girl was raised from the dead. PRAISE BE TO GOD!

Many times, people become self centered during a trial or in the midst of persecution from the enemy.  They begin to take the attack personally, allowing the situation to govern there mind, will and emotions, allowing a flood of wrong thoughts and inappropriate behavior to follow. If we would only take a minute, step back ( stop, look and listen) and yield to God in total surrender and deep fellowship, we would find strength and direction in the midst of the storm, resulting in us being a powerful witness for God. We need to hear what the Spirit is saying to us and then quickly follow His  guidance. His strength empowers us to demand absolute surrender, bringing death to the flesh, and eliminates all selfishness. It allows you to see the door of opportunity to be powerful in God and glorify His name.

Feedback

Feedback defined:

• Comments in the form of opinions about and reactions to something, intended to provide useful information for future decisions and development.

Have you ever gotten feedback from the devil? It is amazing how he so readily offers his opinion as if anything he says matters. Jesus said that Satan is a liar.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (John 8:44)

Why would anyone base their lives on mere lies? People get all upset and discouraged many times from what somebody said to them or about them even when they know it is not true. Anything that does not line up with the truth, which is God’s Word, is not worth even thinking about.

People are very quick many times to voice their opinions. Human opinion can easily be influenced by the flesh, the world and the devil, none of which have their root in the Word of God.

The next time you need to make a decision about something in your life, rather big or small, stay clear of feedback that is contrary to the will of God for your life. The bible says in Proverbs 3:5 …lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him…

We belong to God, He is our Father, therefore we know His voice. God is the one who is to guide His people, not the opinions of men. God is not issuing out opinions ,but rather commandments. God has not summoned us to a round table discussion to help Him make decisions. He is without fault and flawless.

Opinions are generally based on or influenced by a person’s past experiences, and sometimes hearsay or fictional stories. Our lives are valuable to God and His kingdom. It is not the will of God for His people to be guided by hearsay or fantasy. God wants our lives to be rooted and grounded in His Word so that when we need counsel or guidance it comes forth from His Word and Spirit.

Please don’t be misled by enticing words of men’s wisdom because it will prove to be vain in the end. We must lean on, rely on and depend on God, our Father, He will never withhold any good thing from you, never.

The Harvest of Blessing

Philippians 4:15-17 (AMP)

And you Philippians yourselves well know that in the early days of the Gospel ministry, when I left Macedonia, no church (assembly) entered into partnership with me and opened up [a debit and credit] account in giving and receiving except you only. For even in Thessalonica you sent [me contributions] for my needs, not only once but a second time. Not that I seek or am eager for [your] gift, but I do seek and am eager for the fruit which increases to your credit [the harvest of blessing that is accumulating to your account].

What’s in your account? Have you checked you balance lately? Do you keep an accurate register of all withdraws and all deposits?

Paul was talking to the saints in Philippi about giving and receiving. Now we know, Paul was speaking expressly concerning natural financial giving and receiving but I believe there is a dual meaning here, spiritual and natural. The Philippian church partnered with Paul and supported him financially yet they reaped from God’s supernatural store house in the spirit realm. For Paul let them know that God would supply all their needs according to His riches in glory. So we see here that even though these Christian’s were giving something of natural origin, such as money, their harvest originated from a spiritual source, God. They were working a spiritual principal set for by God.

Whenever you obey God and take Him at His word you are in for a great blessing. God takes notice when we obey His Word. He will personally take responsibility for your harvest.

If you have been obeying God’s word, no matter what the particular area, there are blessings accumulating to your account. But sometimes people don’t know what’s in their account because they never check the balance or maybe they are looking in the wrong places. God is faithful to His word and if we obey His word we will receive increase, spiritual and natural. God is no respecter of persons, He will bless whosoever will believe and act upon His word. God just says, “Have faith in God.”

Most accounts are opened or established with the intent of depositing and withdrawing. In the natural we are accustomed to managing our own accounts and being in charge of everything. However, as Christian’s, children of the Most High God, we are now operating in a whole new kingdom, The Kingdom of God and in His Kingdom He ruleth over all. He is the King! Whenever we give or receive in His Kingdom we must do it with the understanding that it all originated from Him. He gives us seed to sow then He provides the power for it to grow then He fills your storehouses or accounts to overflow! God will and does supply! We just need to cooperate with His system and His plan.

Go ahead enter you security code and access your heavenly account and check out what’s been deposited into your account, the account that’s attached to obedience that is.

Don’t Be Fooled by What You See

One year I was preparing some of my traditional dishes for our family’s Thanksgiving dinner. One of the cakes that I baked came out of the oven looking very tasty and quite pretty but within minutes it began to look like something from a horror movie. I thought to myself what in the world happened but because I have been baking for many years I did not fret. I knew that sometimes the ugliest cakes taste the best. I was not concerned about the outward appearance I just wanted to be sure all the ingredients were working together to bring forth a delightful experience to my taste buds. This particular cake is my youngest daughters’ favorite, it is a red velvet cake, and my oldest daughter likes the German chocolate cake so of course I generally bake both cakes for the holidays.

We sampled the cake to be sure it was up to standard and of course it was delicious. Although the outward appearance was somewhat unpleasant to behold the ingredients made up the difference.

So as you go about your day don’t forget to never judge a book by its cover but rather open it and sample the contents, you may be quite surprised at the inner treasures you find inside.

Being in the Perfect Will of God is…Perfect!

Destiny defined:

  • someone’s preordained future

Preordain defined

  • :to decide in advance that something will happen.

Ephesians 2:10

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), [a]recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

God has a specific plan for your life. He did not carbon copy someone else’s life for you, no; He designed a specific plan and purpose with you in mind. God sees us as individuals not just as a crowd. God knows your end from your beginning because He created and orchestrated the plan. Nobody knows you like He does, He knows you inside and out.

The plan that God ordained for your life was designed to be fulfilled. God did not create a future for you that was impossible for Him to fulfill. However in order for God to fulfill His will in your life you must agree and cooperate with Him. God’s plan no matter how wonderful it maybe will not just magically happen in our lives. Many people live and die yet they never once lived any part of God’s perfect will for their lives. People assume whatever will be will be and that they have no say as to what happens in their lives. The Garden of Eden episode proves that thought process to be a big fat lie, straight from the kingdom of darkness. God had a wonderful blessed plan for Adam and Eve but they chose to disregard God’s plans and go with their own plan and now we see the results of that tragedy. You and I are not robots we have a choice, God made it that way, we must choose to follow His plans.

People like to wiggle out of their responsibilities blaming their current circumstances on God. They say, “Well this must be what God wanted, so who am I to argue with God.” How pitiful an excuse is that, blaming God for your bad decisions in life?

God created us spirits with the ability, granted by God, to make certain choices. That’s right certain choices because what is written is written. If you live a sin filled life here on the earth you cannot just up an choose to go to Heaven when you die, no you already made your choice for hell according to what is written.

God’s plan for your life is worth seeking out and fulfilling. It is the only thing that will satisfy your soul. It’s not the will of man, not the will of the flesh but God’s will. Who or what can separate you from the perfect will of God…………..only you can by choosing your own will. Jesus said, “Not my will but yours be done”……..talking to the Father. God’s will is the only way.

Being in the perfect will of God is……. perfect!

Healed by the Power of Love

God is such a wonderful loving Heavenly Father. His love is so incredible and truly incomprehensible. God’s love brings healing to the spirit, soul and body. It matters not who you are or where you come from, God loves you so very much. God’s love is unconditional and it is non-condemning.

One definition of the word heal is to repair or restore. Heal also can mean to get rid of a wrong, evil, or painful affliction.

God’s love can repair and restore anything. Maybe you have had somethings taken from you in the past however don’t allow wrong feelings to corrupt you future, just allow God’s unfailing love restore you of the lost. Maybe you are hurting with deep emotional pain, I want you to know that God loves you and wants to bring supernatural joy and peace into your life. Even if it is physical pain that you have been suffering from know this God’s love heals.

Love is a gift that we must be willing to receive in order for it to benefit our lives. But know this, God will always love you even if you don’t receive or respond to His love for you. There is nothing that you could ever do to stop Him from loving you. That’s right, no matter what you’ve done in the past, present or future God will always love you. However you must choose to love Him back, He will never force you. God’s love for you is not like human love, His love will never end. When you choose to allow the Love of God in your life you choose healing!

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Blessed Are The Peace-Makers

Matthew 5:9

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Are you a peace-maker?

It is necessary to possess peace in order to be a peace-maker. However, everyone who possesses peace is not an active peace-maker. By that I mean, a peace –maker is someone who is actively involved in keeping peace. They go out of their way to insure peace is achieved and maintained.

Many situations in life we could just sit over in a corner, quietly minding our own business while chaos and confusion abound. We sit there reasoning and excusing within ourselves saying, “Well that’s none of my business.” As a Christian we have an advantage in every situation in life because we have the greater one, the Holy Spirit, living on the inside of us. Being a peace-maker may not always involve you standing up in the middle of a fight and physically prying two people apart, like an umpire. Your part maybe to pray for all parties involved. The Holy Spirit is your Helper, commune with Him and find out what He would have you do in every circumstance and situation. Our part is to be mindful that as Christians we are the only true peace-makers the world will ever see. God is counting on us to be available to Him; so that He can continue to show forth His love to all.

Be Discreet, Attentive, and Ready

Luke 21:34-36 (AMP)

But take heed to yourselves and be on your guard, lest your hearts be overburdened and depressed (weighed down) with the giddiness and headache and nausea of self-indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries and cares pertaining to [the business of] this life, and [lest] that day come upon you suddenly like a trap or a noose; For it will come upon all who live upon the face of the entire earth. Keep awake then and watch at all times [be discreet, attentive, and ready], praying that you may have the full strength and ability and be accounted worthy to escape all these things [taken together] that will take place, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man.

Jesus is my hero and He is soon to return for His church. Will you be ready to meet the Lord in the air? (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

Ready is synonymous with  prepared, equipped, complete, organized, arranged, and set.

Discreet defined: having or showing discernment or good judgment in conduct and especially in speech.

Attentive defined: paying close attention to something.

Jesus gave specific instructions in the above scriptures to His body. He charged us to take heed to ourselves, meaning be sober and know what and in whom you have believed. He was saying take note and pay attention to what’s going on in your inner and outer life. Take heed; observe the words that are coming out of your mouth. Take heed to the people you hang around and the influences you allow in your heart and mind. Guard and examine your life on a regular bases as not to neglect your personal responsibility to fight the good fight of faith and stay unspotted from the world.

He warns us not to be overburdened and depressed with the things of this life. A person can become so wrapped up and involved in the ways, culture, traditions and life-styles of this world that it consumes every minute of their day and night. Christians were not left here in the world to fit in or befriend the world; we are here to be ministers of reconciliation, salt and light, Ambassadors from the Kingdom of God to a lost and dying world. The very people you maybe trying to impress in this world will one day die and spend eternity in hell apart from God, if we (Christians) don’t rise up and be light and lead them to Christ.

Your need to be loved, accepted and approved by this world is selfish and of the flesh ( natural man without God), it has no foundation in the love of God. Love rescues sinners. Love speaks the truth. Love lays down its life for others. Love covers a multitude of sin. Love will leave the ninety and nine secure sheep and go after the one lost sheep. Love endures and is patient and kind. Love is not waiting patiently for the world to be condemned and punished but rather for those who are deceived and blinded by darkness to come to the light. The power of Love can turn a dark and wicked heart from darkness to light from the power of Satan to God. It doesn’t matter how wicked and evil a person’s heart may be, one Word from God can change it in an instant!

We must be awake and stay alert to the time we are in and be strong, bold, courageous,  steadfast, sober, meek, and gentle soldiers of Christ. God so loved the world; people, that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, for all. God did not hate or despise sinners He came to rescue them from sin and death. He did not sit in Heaven and rejoice because we were on our way to hell, no, He came and saved us. Praise His Name! Thank God He believed there was hope for us even when we were in sin. He looked on the worst and saw the best. He spoke light and life to us not misery and doom. He embraced us when we were dirty and covered with the filth of unrighteousness. He reached into our once upon a time grave of bondage and despair and lifted us out to enjoy a new clean life in Christ. His Love saw our condition and created a solution so that whosoever would call upon His Name would be saved!

Now He says to you and I go into all the world (with love) and preach/proclaim this Good News! God is saying SPEAK TO THE LOST, say what He has instructed us to say. God loves them and He sent His Son to die so that they could live! Love never fails. We must never give up on the redeeming power of love. Without love all people would be doomed to an eternal life in hell. God is not willing that any would perish but that all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). If God is not willing then we should not be willing. Jesus said, that He came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). Seek is the same as; to pursue, to look for, search for, try to find, hunt for, seek out and find.

Seek defined:

  • to go in search for, look for

Don’t let the sinister strategies of Satan and his dark kingdom disconnect you from the seeking  power of Love. Love is a strategic hunter in pursuit of treasure! However, we must watch out for pirates and spiritual abortionist that seek to sabotage love’s plan for every man.

And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.  But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Matthew 24:11-13 (NLT)

We must give people the opportunity to believe in Christ and not be like Jonah and refuse to preach to them because we see their wickedness. We can never be used to help God reach a lost world if we don’t even love them. Love is expressive. God so loved us that He – gave! What are we giving besides are action-less words and opinions.

Let God be the Judge and let us be the instruments of the Almighty and speak as we are commanded like Ezekiel (37th chapter) to the dry bones and watch God resurrect the dead to life!

Let us serve God in an attitude of humility and godly fear, being filled with compassion. Let us pray that we would be worthy to be used by God  to convert the most wicked person, in our eyes, to Christ and save a soul from death.

We still have time to spread the message of the Kingdom of God and see many souls come to repentance! Let’s forget about ourselves for a few seconds and focus on the cause of the Kingdom!

Praise His Name Forever. He is coming back soon for a church without spot or blemish, be ready, stay steady!

Light Shines Brightest in Darkness

2Corinthians 4:4

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Have you ever tried to shine light in a room that is already brightly lit? The light has little or no effect because light is already there. However, if you shine the smallest ray of light in a dark room you will see immediate results because light is at it’s greatest function in darkness. Light is the opposite or opposing force of darkness. Light is always effective over darkness. Nothing dispels darkness like light.

The Bible tells us that God is Light and in Him there is no darkness at all. Jesus said, “Ye are the light of the world,” he was talking about Christians. No matter how great the darkness maybe in a place or situation, light can always overcome it. Light is only effective against darkness when it is turned on. No matter how much light you have, if it is turned off or hidden, darkness will continue to prevail. The scriptures remind us to let our light shine before men, why, because the Light is the only power that can set men free. Jesus said, “I am the Light of the world.”The world is hopeless without light because it is dark. If the world had no need of light, why would the body of Christ be here in the Earth. There is no other true light except that which comes from God. The Bible says that Satan transforms himself into an angel of light but this is not true light, it is fake. Fake or artificial light has no effect on darkness. It pretends to bear light fruit but in all actuality the fruit is dead. When you slice open his fruit it is rotten to the core, it looks good on the outside but the inside is corrupt just like it’s source. However, the only way to see the corruptness in Satan’s fake fruit is to have your light on because you can’t see anything in darkness.

Let your light shine bright and continue to represent the Kingdom of God being a true light-bearer! Expose the darkness and set the captives free.

Shine! Shine! Shine!
