Are You Increasing?

Luke 2:52 (AMP)

And Jesus increased in wisdom (in broad and full understanding) and in stature and years, and in favor with God and man.

Jesus increased. He did not stay the same year after year, His life bore fruit of progress. He was not stagnant. Sometime people just talk a good talk, yet their life has no fruit of real change or increase. They make no effort to see increase in their life. They do the same things from year to year, yet they expect different results in their lives. They want results that they see others have who are really do what it takes to get results. In all reality their spirit man has not grown for years.

The will of God for every child of God is that we increase in every area of life. Our increasing gives witness of God’s goodness. We become a living testimony that the Word of God is true. The bible tells us that God proved His love to us. God is always seeking ways to prove His love in our lives. God is a good God. Our lives should bear fruit of His goodness. There is so much more for you. Rise up in the grace of God and increase. God is on your side, fear not, He will not allow your foot to slide. Be bold and seek His face and glorify Him in your race. The day will soon come when we will all see His face. Rise up and take your place, you an on the increase in Christ Jesus!

Let the Thunder Roll!

Job 40:9

Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?

The bible tells us in the book of Job that God’s voice can sound like thunder! How awesome is that?!

Whenever there is a thunder storm, I am quickly reminded of that verse and comforted in it’s meaning.

God is not destructive with His power, He is AWESOME and CREATIVE! We oftentimes stereo-type things by hearsay or ignorance. I don’t believe God created thunder and lightening to be destructive. God is a good God. God is Love! He is a protector not a violator. Everything God made in the Genesis account was said of God to be good. There is a Heavenly beauty in seeing lightening and hearing thunder. It is not a frightening sound but rather a sound of dominion.

When the bible describes Gods voice sounding like thunder, to me it denotes ruler-ship and authority over all. I think the sound of thunder is majestic and glorious. As a matter of fact, I enjoy watch thunder storms from a nice big picture window………….it is so cool! When I was a little girl, I used to lay out on the front porch with my eyes facing the sky and daydream and imagine the clouds to be different animal. This was a very peaceful pass time for me, I truly enjoyed it.

So the next time you hear the thunder roar, stop and reflect on its sound and Praise God for His wondrous works among the children of men!

I Look Just Like…?

Who do you look like? If you could compare your character and personality with someone, who would you resemble? What people have you allowed to mold your thoughts and your ways?

Many times people look like who they are around or listen to the most. Can you see and hear resemblances in your words and your chooses from particular influences from your past?

If you are a parent, who influenced the way you interact with your children? Who influenced the way you live your life or the way you cultivate your marriage?

Can you see God in your ways and words? Do you look like the Father God? Can you see a resemblance of God in your personality?

You can quickly locate a person when they have spent time in fellowship with God because they look and act like Him. You also can locate a person when they lack fellowship with God. When Christian’s talk and act like the world most of the time it locates who they spent time with and who they are loyal to. Jesus said we are in the world but not of the world. Jesus said that we are to love not the world.

Love bonds us together with things and people creating an open door for soul influences. People tend to open their lives quicker and without hesitation or question to people they trust or esteem. This can even be with people they have never met like TV personalities and people in authoritative positions.

Examine who you are allowing to influence your words and your ways.

If it doesn’t look like God or act like God or sound like God it isn’t God.

John 8:43-45 (AMP)

Why do you misunderstand what I say? It is because you are unable to hear what I am saying. [You cannot bear to listen to My message; your ears are shut to My teaching.] You are of your father, the devil, and it is your will to practice the lusts and gratify the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies and of all that is false. But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me [do not trust Me, do not rely on Me, or adhere to Me].

Stop Tripping!

Stumble defined:

• To trip when walking or running.

• To walk unsteadily, as if intoxicated.

Have you ever seen someone walking and BAM, they just trip or stumble? You quickly look to see what they stumbled over and nothing was there. Then you look up at them with sort of a puzzled look on your face. The person who seemed to have tripped over thin air will normally have an embarrassed look on their face as well.

Many things in life can cause people to stumble, sometimes things that are actually invisible to the naked eye. Nobody else could see it, but it was real none the less. There you are walking along life’s narrow path, just whistling a merry tune and minding your own business, two seconds later you’re on the ground.

“What was that and where did it come from?” You thought to yourself. You look at your body, and to your surprise find many cuts and bruises. Who could have done such a careless thing as to leave something lying there right in your path? You get up, dust yourself off, look around to see if anyone saw you then proceed to get back on the path as if nothing ever happened. Unfortunately, two blocks down the path and you’re back on the ground. Why didn’t you stop the first time to see what was causing you to stumble and fall? Just because you didn’t see anything with the natural eye doesn’t mean nothing was there.

Christians must stay awake and alert; we have an unseen (with the naked eye) enemy. We should not be getting caught off guard every other day. Our enemy is persistent and if he knows that you tripped once from something that he did, he will try it again and again and again. You must stay full of the Word of God and the Spirit of God. YOU DON’T HAVE TO KEEP TRIPPIN! God, our God, can keep you from trippin, stumbling and falling! We need to keep our spiritual eyes open big and wide so that we can see clearly where our feet are landing. Look……….. because sometimes the dogs mess on the path and you need to know when to step over the enemies mess and keep on truckin.

Jude 1:24-25 (AMP)

Now to Him Who is able to keep you without stumbling or slipping or falling, and to present [you] unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and exultation [with unspeakable, ecstatic delight]—

To the one only God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory (splendor), majesty, might and dominion, and power and authority, before all time and now and forever (unto all the ages of eternity). Amen (so be it).

Living Large!

Judges 18:9-10

And they said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and, behold, it is very good: and are ye still? be not slothful to go, and to enter to possess the land.

When ye go, ye shall come unto a people secure, and to a large land: for God hath given it into your hands; a place where there is no want of any thing that is in the earth.

God wants His children to live large! But we must be willing to rise up and go get what He has already given to us. The things God has provided for us are worth the effort. The scripture says to not be slothful. Well that word slothful means don’t be lazy. Laziness is a deadly hindrance to our destiny. It will pickpocket your divine vision and steals your dreams.

Laziness defined

• Unwilling to do any work or make an effort

• Moving slow

We must arm ourselves against this enemy of our faith and destiny. You must never allow your will to oppose God’s will for your life. Don’t argue and resist God’s plans and purposes for you by being lazy or complaining about focusing on your inabilities. Make an effort to get up and go where He wants you to go. Get excited about things He has called you to do and then do them with the right attitude. Enter into your land of promise with the intent to take over. This is not a time to window shop, it’s time to possess.

God is extravagant; don’t limit your land to a small square foot. It’s a large land. Let God stretch your imagination and boost your expectation through meditation and supernatural insight. Be ready to see with your heart the things God reveals to you. Believe and receive! God has a place for you where there is no want or lack of anything that is in the earth. He is our Shepherd we shall not want!

So rise up and live large today!

None Compares!

Psalms 89:5-9

And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD? God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him. O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee? Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.

God is God all by Himself. He stands unmatched in all His mighty works. He is the ultimate and there is none like Him, nor shall there ever be. He is the first and the last. He is undefeated. He is the only wise God.

To compare God to anyone or anything is a failure in your assessment of true greatness. The truth of the matter is God cannot be compared, He is matchless. None compares to Him!

Great Peace!

Psalms 119: 165

Great peace have they who love Your law; nothing shall offend them or make them stumble.

When we love God’s word, it protects us from the trap of offense. To love God’s word doesn’t just mean you admire it from afar. To love the word of God is to allow it to dwell or live in you. To love God’s word is to allow it to work in you that which pleases God, on a consistent basis. To love God’s word is to honor and esteem it above all else. To love God’s law is to faithfully obey and submit to it, even when you don’t feel like it.

Just admiring God’s word; the way it sounds, the strength and purity of its character, the flow of it’s wisdom, will not keep you from stumbling when offense comes. The word must be alive in you daily. The scriptures tell us; to let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom. When we love the word of God, great peace fills our lives and that peace guards our hearts and minds against the snare of offense.

So saturate your whole being today with the word of God and let it keep you from stumbling.

It’s Attainable!

Compromise defined:

• A settlement of a dispute in which two or more sides agree to accept less than they originally wanted.

• Something that somebody accepts because what was wanted is unattainable.

What part of your God given destiny have you compromised? Are there things God has shown you about your future, things He would like you to attain?

Now, as you consider those things, which of those things have you given up on because you reasoned in your mind saying, “Oh that will never happen in my life.”

Look long and hard at the picture God showed you of your destiny. If that’s not what you see in your life today, you need to re-ignite the fires of passion in your soul and pursue with all your heart the plan God has for your life. Compromise must never be an option where your destiny is concerned. Fight the good fight of faith and fight to win. Don’t settle for anything less than what God has shown you. Your destiny is important to God and to us. Never retreat into a life of complacency; it will strip you of your passion.

Whatever God showed you are attainable, so press beyond reason and aim for the target and watch the power of God propel you into purpose.

Philippians 3:14 (AMP)

I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.

Why?

Why are you here? What on earth is your purpose? Do you know? Can you answer without hesitancy or uncertainty?

How can you know your purpose without going to the one who created you? Many people live their life with vague answers to these vital questions. The heart of every man, woman, boy and girl longs to know what they born. Drifting from place to place, trying to find the meaning of their race in the face of a world of confusion. Who can I trust or who would even know the true purpose of my life?

The true answer is in Christ.

Acts 17:24-29

The God Who produced and formed the world and all things in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in handmade shrines. Neither is He served by human hands, as though He lacked anything, for it is He Himself Who gives life and breath and all things to all [people]. And He made from one [common origin, one source, one blood] all nations of men to settle on the face of the earth, having definitely determined [their] allotted periods of time and the fixed boundaries of their habitation (their settlements, lands, and abodes), So that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after Him and find Him, although He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your [own] poets have said, For we are also His offspring. Since then we are God’s offspring, we ought not to suppose that Deity (the Godhead) is like gold or silver or stone, [of the nature of] a representation by human art and imagination, or anything constructed or invented.

God is our creator and He is the only one qualified to tell us for what purpose we were born. God told Jeremiah the prophet, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)

Just like God spoke clearly and specifically to Jeremiah the purpose for which he was born, God can also speak to you and I. God is not withholding anything from us. However, it is our responsibility to seek Him to find out His specific plan for our lives. It is not the responsibility of someone else to find out for us either. We must have a passion and a desire to want to know the purpose for which we were born. Then once we have clarity from the throne of God then we can go forward to fulfill our God given destinies.

Your life is important and you have a God ordained purpose. God loves you and waits for your earnest seeking of His plan for your life. Smile, your future is bright in Christ, so get ready for the journey of your life as your Creator unveils your true purpose.

Links!

A link is a connecter. A link is something that ties, connects, or relates two or more things. For instance, someone sends you an e-mail because they are trying to get some information to you. However, in addition to what they just shared with you, they have another source that can further make clear to you the subject, so they attach a link so that you can readily connect to this resource. These connections can be very vital to your success or failure.

When you are connected to the right things, it causes your whole life to prosper. There are many things that connect to other things. Fear is linked to failure. Anxiety is linked to prayerlessness. Spiritual strength is linked to joy. Faithfulness is linked to blessings.

In order for someone to benefit from links or connectors, they must open them. Someone can attach a link to your e-mail but if you never open it, you cannot partake of its benefits. How many times do we only receive the obvious but yet lack spiritual discipline to go deeper and link up with weightier things.

How many links have God sent you and you never opened them, that are still sitting in your spiritual e-mail box? That link could contain the answer you’ve been waiting to go forward in your steps of obedience to fulfill the complete will of God for your life. Follow the links God have put in your life; you will prosper and have good success.
