STRANDED

Stranded defined:
• To put or leave somebody in a difficult or helpless position.

Have you ever been trapped, cut off, marooned, left high and dry, stuck or abandoned? Well all of those situations just mentioned are words related to the word stranded.
Have you ever locked your keys in your car and could not get in contact with anyone? Now if you think about it most people have spare keys to their cars, houses, offices, etc. but most often times you don’t have the spare with you when you need it most. Spare keys are generally kept in “safe places” or with people you could readily contact if you lost your keys or locked yourself out. Spare keys are usually not in your pocket. Having a spare key at home in your closet does not seem helpful when you are at the grocery store locked out of your car. Actually at that moment it may seem useless and silly to have a spare key that you can’t get to. How inconvenienced it may seem to have to call or wait on someone to take you to get that key.

In a similar way, sometimes people become stranded in a spiritual test or trial because they left their faith at home in a safe place, “the bible.” They find themselves in the middle of a hard situation and realize that the faith they need to go forward is at home in their bible. They begin to call people on their emergency “faith” call list to give them a spare but no one is at home. “Where is faith when you need it?” they replied. It’s in the pages of your bible where you left it.
Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth. But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him. Luke 8:22-25
We must be those who keep our lights burning and our faith on full so that we are never stranded by circumstances!

JEALOUSY…SPIRITUAL ACID

Jealousy is like a spiritual acid that eats away at a person vitality and verdure. Acid is corrosive in nature which means it is able to destroy something progressively by chemical action. It is also very interesting to note that acid also can be defined as a sharp, bitter, or sarcastic quality in speech or writing. Wow isn’t that an eye opener. The next time someone speaks sharp, bitter, sarcastic words about or around you, just go ahead and neutralize those destructive daggers, they’ll fall to the ground ineffective and void of power.
If not neutralized the erosive effect of jealousy tends to immediately break down or wear away at whatever it comes in contact with. What use to look vibrant and fresh now looks old, worn and lifeless.

Neutralized defined:

• To make something ineffective, especially by removing its ability to act as a threat or obstacle.
The bible says jealousy is cruel as the grave (Songs of Solomon 8:6). It is contrary to the plans and purposes of God.
Proverbs 14:30 (AMP)

A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body, but envy, jealousy, and wrath are like rottenness of the bones.
1 Corinthians 3:3 (AMP)

For you are still [unspiritual, having the nature] of the flesh [under the control of ordinary impulses]. For as long as [there are] envying and jealousy and wrangling and factions among you, are you not unspiritual and of the flesh, behaving yourselves after a human standard and like mere (unchanged) men?
James 3:14, 16 (AMP)

But if you have bitter jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry, selfish ambition) in your hearts, do not pride yourselves on it and thus be in defiance of and false to the Truth.

For wherever there is jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition), there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and all sorts of evil and vile practices.

Now we can see from the above scriptures why jealousy is cruel. It is unrelenting and destructive. It is brutal and malicious. It is mean and nasty. It is spiteful, unkind and vindictive. We, Christians, must guard our hearts against this deadly enemy. The bible describes jealousy as bitter, which means it is very sour or disgusting to digest. It leaves a bad taste in ones mouth.

Many times when people allow jealousy to operate in their lives it is not always obvious at first glance. It will many times sheepishly rear its head and bite in a casual way. The bible says wherever there is jealousy there is confusion or unrest, disharmony and rebellion. Jealousy is rebellious against the character and nature of God. It is selfish in its pursuit and regards not the plans and purposes of God. Jealousy is rooted in pride; it has no loyalty to God in nature.

When we yield to the flesh, the old sin nature, jealousy is a product. When we yield to the flesh, jealousy does not ask for permission to flow and grow in our lives. The flesh cultivates and stimulates jealousy.

The only way we can keep our lives clean and flesh free is to yield to the Spirit and His workings in our lives. We must follow and follow Him closely. We must listen to Him and obey quickly. We must be loyal to His Words. We must be reverent and esteem His voice. We must allow the Word of God to root out, pull down and destroy all the deceptive works of the flesh, while planting, cultivating and building the fruit of the spirit. When we grow in the knowledge of the Love of God we will never be controlled by jealousy again.

NO MISSION IMPOSSIBLE

The word mission:
• A special task given to a person or group to carry out

• An objective or task that somebody believes it is his or her duty to carry out or to which he or she attaches special importance and devotes special care.

Synonyms: assignment, task, job, work, charge, undertaking, duty, operation, exercise, calling, vocation, purpose, goal, aim, objective.

Mark 10:27

And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men [it is] impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
The word mission expresses passion for something. When someone has a passion for something they spend countless hours thinking and meditating about it. They get really excited when they talk about it; as a matter of fact they talk about it all the time. When they get up in the morning it’s not long before they are thinking about their passion or seeking about ways to fulfill it. They have great zeal and enthusiasm about this obsession of their heart and mind. They are generally very defensive about their passion never taking sides against it. The excitement in their eyes, the twinkle in their eye, and the pep in their steps are all visible evidence of their love for it.

Every mission of the heart is not necessarily from God. People can have all sorts of missions in life that will never amount to anything. Some people spent their whole life chasing vain fantasies. A person’s own imagination can create fantasy. A fantasy is an exaggerated mental image in response to an ungratified need. Fantasy can be a dangerous hindrance to a person’s Divine Destiny. God never said He would lead our lives through fantasy. He said the Holy Spirit would lead us in all truth. If your mission in life is rooted in fantasy you are off course and in danger of spiritual shipwreck. We sometimes create task or missions in our minds and then give them great significance and devotion. We attach special importance to these self-created missions and devote our lives on making sure it is fulfilled. Depending on the possibility of the fantasy, sheer human determination, fortitude and desire help them come to pass. We become so devoted that we began to cause this false mission to evolve.

When God is the author of our mission it will be root in the truth, His Word.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Galatians 6:7-8
When the seed that is sown comes from the old nature of fallen man, the mission of that seed will reap corruption.

The seed that is sown from God’s Word will always produce life and blessing. No seed or word from God is impossible of fulfillment. God’s word does not create fantasy but rather spiritual reality.

No mission from God is Impossible. A true mission or assignment from God always has an impartation of grace with it. An assignment should always be fortified in peace. God will never assign something that He does not expect to be fulfilled. Nothing is too hard for God. There are no impossibilities with Him. We must learn to trust God with our lives and not resort to fantasy. God will withhold no good thing from you. He does not set unreachable goals in our lives in an effort to try to frustrate us. God is on our side and He will cause good things to come your way. No Mission is impossible with Him!

DELETED

On most keyboards and computer options there is a delete button which gives a person the choice to erase what they see.

Deleted defined:

• To score out or erase something that is printed or written.

This mean we can totally obliterate something from our files or disk just by the mere push of a button. When you delete something there is no trace or memory of it, as a matter of fact, if that was the only copy of it, it would be hard to prove it even existed.

Hebrews 10:16-18 NLT

This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the Lord:

I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds. Then he says, I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds. And when sins have been forgiven, there is no need to offer any more sacrifices.

God has deleted something’s about your past and mine. He has totally erased them from our history. The words never remember have the same meaning as delete. God has erased the bad and downloaded the good. Oh, I’m so glad for that heavenly delete button, aren’t you? All the plans and strategies the devil plotted against me to destroy me were all deleted in an instant. The enemy thought he could destroy me because of my past sins but glory to God they were all deleted in the blood of Jesus. There is no trace or memory of them, as a matter of fact, it’s as though they never existed. Hallelujah! Deleted by the blood! Deleted by the Blood!

The wonderfully thing about this delete button is that it works on all the enemies weapons and destructive strategies. When he attempts to flood your mind with ungodly thoughts and imagination, just go ahead a press that delete button. When he tries to put sickness and disease on your body just go ahead and push that button. When the enemy tries to thwart the plan and purposes of God in your life just go ahead a press the button. Our button represents the name of Jesus, the Word of God, and the power of the Holy Spirit. These all agree for your victory. So don’t hesitate to press your delete button and live free from the weights and sins sent by your enemy.

WHERE ARE MY KEYS ?

Where are my keys? Have you ever ask that question to someone or even to yourself?

Keys are a very important part of most peoples everyday life. Keys are something that we use on a daily basis.

Keys defined:

  • a way or means of achieving something
  • a device that operates a door or lock

Keys help us access vital ingredients for life long success. There are doors in many peoples lives that await opening. Doors that lead to Divine destinies.

A door is locked to either keep someone or something out or to keep them in. However, when you are the one who possesses the key to the door, the door is not seen as an obstacle. The one who possesses the key has authority. Doors are only obstacles to people who don’t possess the key.

Frustration comes when we misplace our keys. We know we had them but let them slip out of our sight. We search and search for them because we realize we can not go anywhere without them. Many times when people loses their keys they appear frantic and anxious. They hurry around back tracking everywhere they may have been and disrupting everything else from it’s place in an attempt to find them. They quickly recruit other people to stop what they are doing an insist that they help them find the lost keys.

Keys are very significant depending on what they lock or unlock. We must value the Keys of the Kingdom of Heaven enough to make sure we know where they are at all times and that we use them to help us have total life success.
