Commitment

Commitment speaks of integrity.

Integrity says;

Psalms 15:1-5

Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

The word integrity is defined as; the quality of possessing and steadfastly adhering to high moral principles or professional standards. Thus we can clearly see that a person who has integrity keeps their commitments and lives out of set boundaries they have established due to their high standard of loyalty to a person or cause. The above scripture gives us insight concerning a person that walks or lives uprightly, one who does right toward self and others and speaks truth in his heart is the same as he who swears to his own hurt but will not change. What that is saying is a committed person will never go back on his word even if it means they will suffer hurt or inconvenience by the promise they gave.

Prayer: An Awesome Privilege

1 John 5:14-15And this is the confidence that we have in him that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Do you believe that God hears you when you pray? Perhaps your faith is in the prayers of others because you’re not sure if you are praying correctly or you’re not sure if God hears your prayers.

Well I want to encourage and assure you from the word of God that God hears you every time you pray according to His word. God will not hear a prayer rooted in selfishness or unbelief. He will not hear prayers that are outside of the parameters of His word. Meaning when we pray it should be based upon what God has already said in His word. For instance, the scriptures say if any man lack wisdom let him ask of God, who gives to everyman liberally. Well can I pray for Godly wisdom in any situation, yes, because it’s would be in accordance to God’s word.

Prayer is not difficult as some make it to be. Prayer is finding out what God wants for us and others, then be bold enough to ask Him for it. But when you ask believe that He hears you.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have themMark 11:23-24

Have a JOYFUL PRAYER LIFE, today and everyday, God awaits to hear from you!

Moderation

To have something in moderation is defined as: within reasonable limits and never to excess. In today’s society most food is served in super sized portions. It is not unusual when buying a slice of pie to be served an enormous 3 serving size slice. People actually get upset when they are served a normal portion; they think they are being cheated.

Consider this, a normal portion size of meat should be 2-3oz/per meal. The visual of that would be the size of the palm of your hand or a deck of cards.

Proverbs 23:2, declares, And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.

The next time you are tempted to eat that 3rd serving of pie, consider practicing a little moderation or temperance.

Courage

Before the children of Israel could ever live peacefully in the land that the Lord God had given them they had to eradicate every enemy from their land. God commanded them to be courageous because fear is an enemy to progress. Now the word cowardice is opposite of courageous. A coward is someone who attacks someone who is weaker than them or someone who is unable to defend themselves.

Satan is a coward. Satan knows his position of defeat under our feet through and in Christ Jesus. He is a coward to those in the world without Christ because they are defenseless against his strategies and attacks but we are not. Jesus said I give you power over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means harm you.

We must detoxify and rid our soul of the notion that we are inferior to Satan and the kingdom of darkness or that he still has some sort of authority over our lives.

Joshua 1:6-7
Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.

Courage

• The ability to face danger, difficulty, uncertainty, or pain without being overcome by fear or being deflected from a chosen course of action

Great Peace

Psalms 119:165 (amp)Great peace have they who love Your law; nothing shall offend them or make them stumble.

When we love God’s word it protects us from the trap of offence. To love God’s love doesn’t just mean you admire it from afar. To love the word of God is to allow it to dwell or live in you. To love God’s word is to allow it to work in you that which pleases God, on a consistent basis. To love God’s word is to honor and esteem it above all else. To love God’s law is to faithfully obey and submit to it, even when you don’t feel like it.

Just admiring God’s word; the way it sounds, the strength and purity of its character, the flow of it wisdom, will not keep you from stumbling when offence comes. The word must be alive in you daily. The scriptures tell us; to let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom. When we love the word of God great peace fills our lives and that peace guards our hearts and minds against the snare of offence.

So saturate your whole being today with the word of God and let it keep you from stumbling.

Keys of the Kingdom

We have been granted access! And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19

Most often times when someone gives you a key, there is a security device present, and the key locks or unlocks that device. Keys for instance open doors, safety deposit boxes, car doors and ignitions just to name a few things. But customarily when something has a lock, what is being locked is of great value to someone. When you have keys you are in a position of ownership. God has given every born again believer the keys to the Kingdom of God, no one has been locked out. The keys to God’s kingdom are revelation knowledge in the word of God. It’s time that we take those keys off the shelf, find them at the bottom of our purses and begin to use them for the glory of God.

Excellence in Stewardship

Colossians 3:23-24 (amp)Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as (something done) for the Lord and not for men,
Knowing (with all certainty) that it is from the Lord (and not from men) that you will receive the inheritance which is your (real) reward. (The One Whom) you are actually serving (is) the Lord Christ (the Messiah).

God has a specific plan for every life. It is not God’s responsibility to hunt you down and force you to cooperate with His plan for your life. We are to seek God diligently and inquire of Him and He will graciously reveal each step of His plan to us.

Jeremiah 33:2-3
Thus says the Lord Who made [the earth], the Lord Who formed it to establish it–the Lord is His name: Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).

God is not selfishly hiding anything from us. God is a good God, He is a giver not a taker. It is not His nature to withhold or take away anything from you that would cause you to disobey His will for your life. The plan that God has for your life is important to Him and it should be significant to you.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.James 1:5

Now, once you find out the next step in the plan of God for your life, do it with all your heart. Cultivate a life of excellence and refuse to ever do anything shabby for God. God gave His best for us; we could at least do our very best for Him.

He Stooped So Low

Philippians 2:7-11 (amp)But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being. And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross! Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, And every tongue frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Jesus destiny did not look pretty from a natural stand point but He completed the course nonetheless. Obedience is the act or practice of following instructions, complying with rules or regulations, or submitting to somebody’s authority. Jesus obedience resulted in death but His death brought life to many through the power of His resurrection. Let us take His example and live our lives in full obedience to the will of the Father and enjoy the benefits of resurrection power!

Be Alert to what you hear

Luke 9:44 Jesus said: ” Let these sayings sink down into your ears…
Are you listening? God has many things to say to you. The words that God speak are what we live by. Man was created by God and designed to live by every word that proceeds out of His mouth. His words are vital to our very existence. Jesus said let these sayings sink down, inferring there can be a shallow form of hearing. We hear but don’t hear, we hear and don’t understand what we hear and the words just become mere casual conversation. We must put a greater value on the words that God speak than any other words spoken to us, regardless at whatever time in our life they were spoken, no matter who else it was that said it. God’s word is spirit and it is life. It is not just something we can casually choose to ignore, without experiencing grave consequences. If God said His word is life to me and health to all my flesh, and that it is the very substance of my life, then for me to not partake of it would mean death and destruction. Oh yes, it’s that important. Jesus said let these words, meaning we can control how deep the Word penetrates our life. We can stop it’s progress when we don’t honor it, esteeming other things and words over it. When we place more importance on what somebody else is saying. Proper spiritual growth and development depends on what takes root in your life. The sayings that sink down deep are the ones we allow to guide and influence our everyday life. Critical decisions that we make daily, decisions that not only effect our lives but the lives of others, are all based on the things that we have allowed to sink down deep in our hearing. Be more selective and protective of the words you allow to go to the deeper parts of your being.

And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure (of thought and study) you give (to the truth you hear) will be the measure (of virtue and knowledge) that comes back to you and more (besides) will be given to you who hear. Mark 4:24 (amp)
