Who or What Are You Waiting For?

Proverbs 18:9    He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.

Procrastinate

• to postpone doing something, especially as a regular practice

• synonyms: put- off, delay, drag your feet, postpone, dally, defer

Today examine your life and locate God given assignments that you have deferred or delayed. Procrastination and hesitation will oftentimes rob you of your destination.

Jeremiah 29:11 declares, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. The scripture says there is an expected end.

God has the plan all mapped out, all we have to do is follow Him. God wants you to complete your journey successfully. Our end in Christ is and always will be good, that will never change. So stay on course, focus, pick back up those things you have dragged your feet in. Determine today that you will not live a shabby Christian life but you will pursue and do all that God has entrusted to you with excellence and joy.

Thirsty for More of God?

God longs to quench your thirst with more of Him.

Psalms 107:8-9

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

We are Gods temple His dwelling place. He said He would come in and make His abode in us. But even though someone lives in the same house as you do sometimes we can become so distracted and preoccupied by life’s trivialities that we don’t enjoy those living right in our own house. God’s purpose in us is to manifest Himself to us. Let the God in you, overflow you with Himself today! He is more than enough. Enjoy!

Satisfy defined: to do or offer enough to make somebody feel pleased or content

Psalms 103:5

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Blessed is the Man

Psalms 1

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Are you walking in the blessing of the Lord or are you just tolerating whatever life brings your way?

Are you prospering on your God given course or are you just barely holding on till the rapture comes?

God wants you to live a blessed life, a life full of joy and peace. Go ahead throw off those cares and problems that seem so big. Jesus paid an awesome price so that you could live blessed. Smile at your future and walk with confidence, God’s got you covered, He will never leave you or forsake you.

Powerless Ghost

Isaiah 26:13-14 O Lord, our God, other masters besides You have ruled over us, but we will acknowledge and mention Your name only. They [the former tyrant masters] are dead, they shall not live and reappear; they are powerless ghosts, they shall not rise and come back. Therefore You have visited and made an end of them and caused every memory of them [every trace of their supremacy] to perish.

The things of your past are powerless against your future unless you choose to give life to them in your today.

Ghost can be defined as an entity that seems to exist but does not. It can be something that has died but only lives in memory. Whatever ruled over you yesterday has no power over you today. Christ has set you free! Receive that freedom by confessing your trust in His unfailing love for you and in you. The images of your past are no match against the power of God’s word that is at work in you today. Going backward is not an option for you anymore, so take the sword of the spirit and let it begin demolition on every thought and imagination that does not agree with God’s plan for your life.

So go ahead live life to its fullest, enjoy the blessing of freedom and celebrate Gods victory in you today!

2 Corinthians 10:4-6

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds 😉 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Keep on Steppin!

 Psalms 37:23-24

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

A step is a short movement made by raising one foot and lowering it ahead of the other foot. Putting one foot in front of the other is the safest way to go forward. When our stride is off or out of sync we are at risk of stumbling and eventually falling. We need harmony in our steps even if it seems like we are not moving very fast or going far. We need to always make sure that one foot is securely down before we raise the other foot. The above scripture says the steps not just one step but many, indicating a particular manner of walking, not running skipping or jumping. Those other forms of movement are not forbidden in and of themselves but one must learn to walk before he can run. Allow God to order and arrange your steps and watch your life prosper and be a delight along the way.

Are You Listening?

 Habakkuk 2:1-4

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

Today is a good day to stand still, quiet yourself before the Lord and see what he would have to say to you. In the quietness of your heart let His voice rise up and fill your whole being. God is a speaking God. The word of God reminds us in many scriptures, ” He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” We are the church and God is seeking to communicate to us His will, His passion, direction, correction, instruction, life, peace,on and on. Are you listening? Purpose in your heart today to practice listening to God. Take example from the prophet Habakkuk and stand on your watch and see what God would say to you. God is searching for ears that desire to hear Him.

Total Surrender

 Mark 14:35-36

And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

Surrender defined: an act of relinquishing control or possession to somebody or something.

What would total surrender look like on you? The same way it looked on Jesus, beautiful.

It is time to relinquish all control of every area of our lives. We must completely give up all rights to be the boss, without coercion or being forced to do it. Total surrender involves absolute resolve. We must never look back or be tempted to regret our decision to surrender all to Christ. To give up all we have, to receive all He is and all He has is simply no comparison. God’s least is greater than our all.

Surrender should not be perceived as drudgery but rather a privilege and an honor. Go a little further, yield today and begin to reap and experience the priceless fruit of total surrender.

Commitment

Commitment speaks of integrity.

Integrity says;

Psalms 15:1-5

Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

The word integrity is defined as; the quality of possessing and steadfastly adhering to high moral principles or professional standards. Thus we can clearly see that a person who has integrity keeps their commitments and lives out of set boundaries they have established due to their high standard of loyalty to a person or cause. The above scripture gives us insight concerning a person that walks or lives uprightly, one who does right toward self and others and speaks truth in his heart is the same as he who swears to his own hurt but will not change. What that is saying is a committed person will never go back on his word even if it means they will suffer hurt or inconvenience by the promise they gave.

Prayer: An Awesome Privilege

1 John 5:14-15And this is the confidence that we have in him that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Do you believe that God hears you when you pray? Perhaps your faith is in the prayers of others because you’re not sure if you are praying correctly or you’re not sure if God hears your prayers.

Well I want to encourage and assure you from the word of God that God hears you every time you pray according to His word. God will not hear a prayer rooted in selfishness or unbelief. He will not hear prayers that are outside of the parameters of His word. Meaning when we pray it should be based upon what God has already said in His word. For instance, the scriptures say if any man lack wisdom let him ask of God, who gives to everyman liberally. Well can I pray for Godly wisdom in any situation, yes, because it’s would be in accordance to God’s word.

Prayer is not difficult as some make it to be. Prayer is finding out what God wants for us and others, then be bold enough to ask Him for it. But when you ask believe that He hears you.

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have themMark 11:23-24

Have a JOYFUL PRAYER LIFE, today and everyday, God awaits to hear from you!

Moderation

To have something in moderation is defined as: within reasonable limits and never to excess. In today’s society most food is served in super sized portions. It is not unusual when buying a slice of pie to be served an enormous 3 serving size slice. People actually get upset when they are served a normal portion; they think they are being cheated.

Consider this, a normal portion size of meat should be 2-3oz/per meal. The visual of that would be the size of the palm of your hand or a deck of cards.

Proverbs 23:2, declares, And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.

The next time you are tempted to eat that 3rd serving of pie, consider practicing a little moderation or temperance.
